Kress Conservation Fellowship

The purpose of the Kress Conservation Fellowship program is to provide a wide range of post-graduate fellowship opportunities that will help develop the skills of emerging conservators. Applicants must have the equivalent of an MA in conservation. The award is $32,000.

History of Art Institutional Fellowship

This award provides $30,000/year for a 2-year fellowship to conduct research at one of six European research centers. Research should focus on European art from antiquity to the early 19th century. Candidates should be nominated by their department.

The RSA-Newberry Fellowship

This residential fellowship offers a stipend of $3,000 for one-month of full-time research in the Newberry’s collections. Applicants should consult the library’s catalogs and guides for details about the collection.

Samuel H. Kress Graduate Art History Fellowship at the Medici Archive Project

This fellowship provides funding for Art Historians to spend either a summer or fall semester at the Medici Granducal Archive in Florence, Italy. The award covers travel and living expenses. Applicant’s research must focus on any aspect of Italian Renaissance or Baroque art history.

Samuel H. Kress Foundation Fellowships

The Samuel H. Kress Foundation supports a series of competitive fellowships to the Latin/Greek Institute to exceptional art history graduate students at Ph.D.–granting colleges and universities. Fellowship support consists of $2,000 to be applied toward tuition.
