John Carter Brown Library Short-Term Research Fellowships

This residential fellowship (2-4 months) supports researchers whose work is centered on the colonial history of the Americas, North and South, including all aspects of the European, African, and Native American engagement. PhD students must have advanced to candidacy at the time of application.

Long-Term Fellowships

Long term fellowships for periods of 5-10 months are reserved for postdoctoral scholars. The InterAmericas Fellowship supports research on the history of the British West Indies and the Caribbean Basin. The R.
