Biogeography Specialty Group: Graduate Student Research Grant Competition

The goal of this award is to provide partial support for graduate students to conduct quality biogeographic research projects for their master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation. Applicants must be AAG and BSG members.

George and Viola Hoffman Fund Award

An award from the George and Viola Hoffman Fund may be made annually for student research toward a Master’s thesis or Doctoral dissertation on a geographical subject in Eastern Europe.

AAG Dissertation Research Grants

The AAG provides support for doctoral dissertation research in the form of small grants of up to $1000 to PhD candidates of any geographic specialty.

IGIF Student Paper Award

The Association of American Geographers will award one or more small awards in recognition of outstanding student papers in any area of spatial analysis or geographic information science or systems.

AAG International Geographic Information Fund Graduate Research Award

The Association of American Geographers will award one or more small grants of up to $500 to support graduate research proposed by a student in any area of spatial analysis or geographic information science or systems. The award(s) will be presented at the AAG Annual Meeting.
