The Naval Research Enterprise Intern Program (NREIP)

This internship provides students with an opportunity to participate in research at a Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory during the summer. Participating students typically spend ten weeks doing research at approximately 12 DoN laboratories and graduate students receive a stipend of $10,800.

Naval Research Laboratory (NRL)-Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

Aims to involve creative and highly trained scientists and engineers from academia and industry to scientific and technical areas of interest and relevance to the Navy. The selected participants will work in a unique Navy lab environment, interacting with senior laboratory scientists and engineers.

Science, Mathematics, and Research For Transformation (SMART) Defense Scholarship Program

The Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program is an opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines to receive a full scholarship and be gainfully employed upon degree completion.

ASEE/NSF Small Business Postdoctoral Research Diversity Fellowship Program

This program aims to encourage creative and highly-trained recipients of doctoral degrees in NSF-supported STEM disciplines to engage in hands-on research projects in their areas of expertise at the kind of small innovative businesses that historically have fueled the nation’s economic regime.
