This bi-annual scholarship awards $300 to a minimum of 10 students (per award cycle) interested in becoming credentialed by the National Register through its student program, the National Psychologist Trainee Register. The award covers application fees for credential banking and review.

Maylon Smith Scholarship Research Award
Annually awards of up to $1000 support graduate students in psychology to advance research in the psychology of sexual orientation and gender identity. Applicants must be currently enrolled full-time in a Department of Psychology at the graduate level.
Bisexual Foundation Scholarship Award
This award gives up to $1000 to graduate students to advance research on the psychology of bisexuality. This award recognizes the growing importance of research on bisexuality to the field of LGB issues in psychology and offers concrete support and encouragement to emerging scholars in this field.
Basic Psychological Science Research Grant
The Basic Psychological Science Research Grant provides $1,000 for innovative thesis, dissertation, or other psychological science research studies conducted by graduate students. APAGS membership is required.
Minority Fellowship Program-Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services PreDoctoral Fellowship
This fellowship supports doctoral training in mental health and substance abuse services. It aims to promote culturally competent mental health and substance abuse services for ethnic minority populations and to increase the number of ethnic minority psychologists delivering these services.
Public Interest Policy Internship
The graduate student intern will spend one year working on public interest policy issues on the staff of APA’s Public Interest Government Relations Office and work 15 hours per week from September until August. APAGS student members must be in their 2nd year to apply.
APAGS/Psi Chi Junior Scientist Fellowship
This award provides $1,000 in research funds for a first or second year graduate student. In addition, it provides feedback to applicants on the application in order to improve the chances of having a successful NSF GRF application.
Predoctoral Fellowship in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
The Predoctoral MHSAS fellowship to support the training of practitioners in behavioral health services and prevention. This fellowship program is designed for students in clinical, counseling and school psychology, and other psychology doctoral students.
