The Fellowship is a stipend of $10,000 for AOCS student members. The second part of the award is $5,000 and shall be given as a research fund to be used by the recipient for travel to professional meetings and for research expenditures related to the student’s graduate program.

Ralph H. Potts Memorial Fellowship Award
The award consists of a $2,000 honorarium and a travel allowance to the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo. The type of research that will qualify for the award should involve the synthesis, processing utilization or characterization of fatty acids or their derivatives.
Biotechnology Division Student Award
The award is intended to recognize an outstanding paper in the field of biotechnology presented by a student at the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo. This program re-opens annually in September.
Health and Nutrition Division Student Excellence Award
This award recognizes the outstanding merit of a student in the health and nutrition field, who will present a paper at the Annual ACOS meeting. The award includes a certificate and $500.
Industrial Oil Products Division Student Excellence Award
The Division instituted this award to aid graduate students to travel to the Society’s annual meeting to present a paper. The award provides up to $500 for one graduate student to aid in travel expenses and is supported by Division funds.
Processing Division Student Excellence Award
All graduate students presenting a paper at any of the AOCS Annual Meeting Processing Division sessions are eligible for the award. $1,000 is awarded for the winner of the processing division.
Peter & Clare G. Kalustian Award
This award recognizes the outstanding merit and performance of an honored student, who will present a paper at the Annual Meeting of the Society. The award includes a certificate and $1000. Preference will be given to students of Armenian descent.
Analytical Division Student Award
This award recognizes outstanding graduate student(s) in the field of lipid analytical chemistry. Recipients receive a certificate, a $250 honorarium, a $500 travel allowance to present at the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo, and an award lecture or poster presentation at the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo.
Edible Applications Technology Division Student Award
The Division instituted this award to aid graduate students to travel to the Society’s annual meeting to present a paper. The award provides up to $500 for one award to aid in graduate student travel expenses and is supported by Division funds.
