Medieval Academy dissertation grants support advanced graduate students who are writing Ph.D. dissertations on medieval topics. The grants help defray research expenses such as the cost of travel to research collections and the cost of photographs, photocopies, microfilms, etc.

This $1,000 award supports research in the history of the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Eligible expenses include travel to a library or archive, acquiring microfilms, photographs, or photocopying. Applicants must be AHA members.
NWSA Graduate Scholarship Award
NWSA will award $1,000 to a student who, in the fall of the year of the award, will be engaged in the research or writing stages of a Master’s Thesis or Ph.D. on women. Dissertation in the interdisciplinary field of women’s studies. Applicants must be members of NWSA.
Lillian and Alex Feir Graduate Student Travel Award
The purpose of this award is to encourage graduate students working with insects or other arthropods in the broad areas of physiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology to affiliate with ESA’s Integrative Physiological and Molecular Insect Systems Section and to attend the ESA Annual Meeting.
Chrysalis Scholarship Fund
The Chrysalis Scholarship provides degree-completion funding for three women geoscience graduate students whose education has been interrupted for at least one year. The awards are intended to cover thesis/dissertation costs such as typing or drafting expenses, child-care, or anything necessary to assist a degree candidate during those critical, final days.
Walter S. Barr Fellowship
The Horace Smith Fund was established to help deserving students finance their education. Fellowship applicants must be students pursuing a post-graduate degree and be residents of Hampden County or qualified former residents.
Carl A. Scott Book Scholarships

Archival Travel Grant: In cooperation with the British Academy, the Huntington offers a limited number of exchange fellowships in any of the fields in which the Huntington collections are strong. Tenure of the fellowship is one month. Ph.D. or equivalent required.
