Fellowship Program
ARCE administers short term fellowships for study in Egypt (up to 12 months) for pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students. Amounts and time frames vary by fellowship.
Grants-in-Aid of Research
These grants of up to $1000 provide undergraduate and graduate students in the sciences and engineering with the funds to pay for travel expenses and lab equipment for their research projects. Their goal is to promote scientific excellence and achievement through hands-on learning.
ACUNS Dissertation Fellowship Award
This $1,500 award recognizes emerging students of extraordinary potential who have reached the stage of writing an advanced graduate-level dissertation on a topic of direct and demonstrable relevance to the United Nations and/or the UN system.
Research Travel Grants
These grants are awarded to support research in the holdings of the Gerald R. Ford Library, including living, travel and photocopying expenses. The library’s collections focus on Federal policies, U.S. foreign relations, and national politics in the 1960s and 1970s.
AAS NEAC JAPAN STUDIES GRANTS
Various grant programs in Japanese studies designed to facilitate the research of individual scholars, to improve the quality of teaching about Japan on both the college and precollege levels, and to integrate the study of Japan into the major academic disciplines.
Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellowship in Women’s Studies
This $5,000 award supports the final year of dissertation writing for PhD candidates in the humanities and social sciences whose work addresses topics of women and gender in interdisciplinary and original ways.
Roothbert Scholarships
This scholarship offers support to help men and women in need of financial aid to further their education. The Fund seeks candidates who are “motivated by spiritual values,” and works to foster fellowship among them. Awards range from $2,000 to 3,000. Awards can be renewed based on review.
Clara Mayo Grants
This $1,000 award aims to support masters’ theses or pre-dissertation research on aspects of sexism, racism, or prejudice, with preference given to students enrolled in a terminal master’s program.
Academic Achievement Award
This award encourages academic excellence by recognizing contributions to the field of public water supply. All Masters theses and doctoral dissertations that are relevant to the water supply industry are eligible. First place is for $3000 and second is $1500.
