World Politics and Statecraft Fellowship

This fellowship supports the research and writing of policy-relevant dissertations through funding of fieldwork, archival research, and language training. Projects that could directly inform U.S. policy debates and thinking will be given preference.

Office of Science Graduate Student Research Program (SCGSR)

The SCGSR program supports supplemental awards to outstanding U.S. graduate students to conduct part of their graduate thesis research at a DOE national laboratory in collaboration with a DOE laboratory scientist for a period of 3 to 12 consecutive months.

Fellowship Program

The mission of the Fellowship Program is to encourage interest and involvement in psychoanalysis among the future leaders, researchers and educators of mental health and academia. The Fellowship travel funds to the biannual meetings of APsaA and mentorship.

Violet and Cyril Franks Scholarship

The APF Violet and Cyril Franks Scholarship supports graduate-level scholarly projects that use a psychological perspective to help understand and reduce stigma associated with mental illness.

National Center for Health Statistics/Academy Health-Health Policy Fellowship

ASA/NASS Research Fellow and Associate Program

This program allows selected Fellows and Associates the opportunity to engage in re- search of large-scale agricultural survey operations, including design, collection, quality control, forecasting, estimation, and analysis.

Postdoctoral-Junior Scholar Grants

The Foundation provides postdoctoral scholars and assistant professors without tenure who have taught for no more than 6 years since receiving their Ph.D. degree with grants for time off for research and writing. Committee for Research and Exploration Grants

Grants support scientific field work with a geographical dimension and relevance to other scientific fields, including anthropology, archaeology, astronomy, biology, botany, geography, geology, oceanography, paleontology, and zoology. Students may apply, but awards to non-PhDs are rare.

Randy Gerson Memorial Grant

The program awards grants for graduate student projects in family and/or couple dynamics, and/or multi-generational processes. Preference will be given to projects using or contributing to the development of Bowen family systems and those projects that serve to advance Dr. Gerson’s work.

Henry P. David Grants for Research and International Travel in Human Reproductive Behavior and Population Studies

The Henry David Fund was established to support young psychologists with a demonstrated interest in the behavioral aspects of human reproductive behavior or an area related to population concerns. A research grant and a travel grant (both $1,500) are given out each year.
