ACLS Public Fellows
The Mellon/ACLS Public Fellows program places recent PhDs from the humanities and humanistic social sciences in two-year staff positions at partnering organizations in government and the nonprofit sector. The fellowship amount is $67,500/year.
Annette U. Rickel Dissertation Award for Public Policy
This award supports dissertation research on public policy, which can improve services for families facing psychosocial issues such as prevention of child abuse, school programs for children with psychological issues, services for youth in the criminal justice system, and healthy parenting.
Hanns and Brigeitte Horney Swarzenski Fellowship
The Hanns Swarzenski and Brigitte Horney Swarzenski Fellowship is awarded to a promising young scholar for study and research at the Museum. Preference will be given to applicants with a proven interest in museum work or those planning to pursue a museum career in the field of medieval art.
ASEE/NSF Small Business Postdoctoral Research Diversity Fellowship Program
This program aims to encourage creative and highly-trained recipients of doctoral degrees in NSF-supported STEM disciplines to engage in hands-on research projects in their areas of expertise at the kind of small innovative businesses that historically have fueled the nation’s economic regime.
The Sylvan C. Coleman and Pameal Coleman Memorial Fund Fellowship
Fellowship is awarded to predoctoral- and postdoctoral-level scholars from the United States and abroad for one year’s study and research at the Met. This fellowship is reserved for talented individuals with promising art historical projects that will contribute to the field at large.
Jackie McLean Fellowship
Open to ABD doctoral students, Ph.D.s, or terminal master’s degree holders in any discipline. Fellows must be in-residence, teach one course/semester, conduct research, and engage in academic service. Candidates working with diverse populations and multicultural issues are encouraged to apply.
Endangered Language Fund Grants
The Endangered Language Fund provides grants for language maintenance and linguistic field work. The work most likely to be funded is that which serves both the native community and the field of linguistics. California Senate Fellows Program
The program’s primary goals include providing exposure to the legislative process for participants and offering research and administrative staff assistance for Senate members and policy committees. Applicants with a strong interest in public policy and politics are encouraged to apply.
Early Graduate Student Researcher Awards
This award recognizes outstanding research early in graduate training (i.e. the first two years). The award focuses on both the student’s general research experience and specific completed research projects and provides funds for research expenses, software, and conference travel.
