Botstiber Fellowship in Austrian-American Studies

This fellowship provides support for salary, travel, and other expenses for a scholar or professional who is working on a project that will promote understanding of the historic relationship between Austria and the US in the fields of history, politics, economics, law and cultural studies.

Helen Fellowship

The Helen Fellowship includes both teaching and research components, and takes place at the American Museum of Natural History. Fellows provide support to BridgUp: STEM educators, act as mentors, and conduct collaborative research under an AMNH advisor. The award is open to women only.

Predoctoral Fellowships

These fellowships support advanced graduate research in the history, theory, and criticism of art, architecture, urbanism, and photographic media. Each of the nine fellowships has specific requirements and intents. Applicants must be nominated by their department chair.

Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship

The FLAS fellowship supports language training in Less-Commonly-Taught Languages. The fellowship assists in the advancement of knowledge, resources, and trained personnel for foreign language and area/international studies and supports the development of a qualified pool of international experts.

Minority Nurse Faculty Scholarship

The Johnson & Johnson/AACN Minority Nurse Faculty Scholars program provides financial support up to $18,000 to graduate nursing students from minority backgrounds who agree to teach in a school of nursing after graduation.

MNRS Dissertation Research Grant

The purpose of the dissertation grant is to encourage dissertation research that advances nursing science and practice. Funds are available for quantitative and qualitative research on any topic relevant to nursing science.

Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics Fellows-in-Residence

The program brings together a small group of Fellows to work closely over the course of the year on pressing issues in ethics. The majority of Fellows will be selected in relation to an annual theme, but in each year some “open” slots will be reserved for applicants working on any issue in ethics.

CISAC Fellowships

The Center for International Security and Cooperation provides support for predoctoral and postdoctoral fellows who wish to join their interdisciplinary community of scholars and produce policy-relevant research. Areas of interest include a broad range of international security topics.

Dissertation Fellowship

This $25,000 fellowship supports graduate students of the social sciences whose research advances progressive values. These awards support works that have the potential to contribute to making U.S. society less unequal, more democratic, and more environmentally sustainable.

Research Grants

This award is offered for postgraduate and postdoctoral research to Finnish-speaking researchers only. For applicants whose native language is not Finnish, an award may be granted if the applicant is working in a Finnish-speaking research community and is well integrated into it.
