Harrell Family Fellowship

Field Research Grant: to support a graduate student for participation in an ACOR-approved archaeological research project, which has passed an academic review process. Senior project staff whose expenses are being borne largely by the project are ineligible. Open to enrolled graduate students of any nationality.

General Research Grants

The foundation’s priority for funding is the exploratory phases of promising new research projects related to human origins that meet the stated purpose of the Foundation. The majority of the Foundation’s General Research Grants to doctoral student are in the $3,000-$13,500 range.

Jennifer C. Groot Fellowship

Field Research Grant: to support beginners in archaeological fieldwork who have been accepted as staff members on archaeological projects with ASOR/CAP affiliation in Jordan. Open to undergraduate and graduate students. U.S. or Canadian citizenship required.

CAORC Fellowship

This in-residence fellowship offers 2-6 months of support for MA or pre-doctoral students conducting research in Jordan. Research can be conducted in any field and on any time period, but should contribute to scholarship in Near Eastern studies.

Full-Year Program

CASA offers a 12-month intensive Arabic language and culture program. These programs include up to a year of study as well as program sponsored tours and trips.

Post-PhD Research Grants

Post-Ph.D. Research Grants are awarded to individuals holding a Ph.D. or equivalent degree to support individual research projects. Dissertation Fieldwork Grants

Wenner-Gren Dissertation Fieldwork Grants fund doctoral dissertation research in anthropology. The Foundation supports research that demonstrates a clear link to anthropological theory and debates, and promises to make a solid contribution to advancing these ideas. The award is up to $20,000.

Dissertation Fellowships

This dissertation writing fellowship contributes to the support of a doctoral candidate in their final year, from any of the natural or social sciences and the humanities, whose work promises to increase understanding of the causes, manifestations, and control of violence, aggression and dominance.

Ruth Lilly Archives Research Award

The competitive program awards grants up to $4,000 in any discipline for research that requires use of the collections of the Philanthropy Archives Collection of the University Library at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).

Special Grants to Support Research in the Paul Ehrlich Collection

The Rockefeller Archive Center provides up to $2500 for research in the Paul Erlich Collection. The deadline for this award is rolling. Applicants must consult with an archivist before applying.
