PEO International Peace Scholarship

The International Peace Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for women from other countries for graduate study in the United States and Canada. Recipients must agree to return to their home countries after completion of their studies and must have at least one year of coursework remaining.

National Museum of Natural History American Indian Program

The American Indian Program was established to encourage participation of Native Americans in Smithsonian activities and to support collection research, exhibitions, and public programming as they relate to Native peoples. Applicants should apply for stipends through the Office of Fellowships.

Gerald E. and Corinne L. Parsons Fund Award

The purpose of the fund is to make the collections of primary ethnographic materials housed anywhere at the Library of Congress available to the needs and uses of those in the private sector. Funding varies from $800-$3000.

Lemelson Center Fellowship

The Lemelson Center Fellowship Program supports projects that present creative approaches to the study of invention and innovation in American society. Fellows are expected to reside in the D.C. area, to participate in the Center’s activities, and to make a presentation their work. $575-$870/week.

NWSA Women of Color Caucus-Frontiers Student Essay Award

The purpose of the Women of Color Caucus-Frontiers Student Essay Award is to promote the intellectual development of emerging women scholars who engage in critical theoretical discussions and/or analyses about feminist/womanist issues concerning women of color in the US and the diaspora.

NWSA Graduate Scholarship Award

NWSA will award $1,000 to a student who, in the fall of the year of the award, will be engaged in the research or writing stages of a Master’s Thesis or Ph.D. on women. Dissertation in the interdisciplinary field of women’s studies. Applicants must be members of NWSA.

Iranian-American Scholarship

The Iranian-American Scholarship fund provides university scholarships for Iranian-American Students, supported by the Iranian community. The Iranian-American Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for Undergraduates, Graduates, and International students. Fellowships for Study or Research in the U.S. for Belgian citizens

Fellowships provide support for Belgian students for 9 months of full-time graduate study, or twelve months for research in the U.S. Study. Additional awards are available for biomedical engineering research and for postdoctoral research in biotechnology. Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program: Postdoctoral Fellowships

Postdoctoral Fellowships of 3-12 months are available for scholars who have held the doctoral degree or equivalent for fewer than seven years as of the application deadline. Fellowships provide opportunities to pursue independent research projects in association with Smithsonian research staff.

Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Grants

This fund offers assistance to individuals for research on North American fauna in any phase of wildlife conservation or natural history related to the activities of the American Museum.
