APA Student Travel Award
Students will receive $300 to support their travel to the APA Convention. Applicants who are both members of the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS) and first authors are eligible to have their convention registration fees waived.
Edward C. Bryant Scholarship Trust Fund Award in Survey Statistics
Each year an outstanding graduate student in Survey Statistics is awarded the Bryant Scholarship to help support the student’s graduate education. Selection criteria include: potential to contribute to survey statistics; applied experience in survey statistics; performance in graduate school.
Anne S. Chatham Fellowship in Medicinal Botany
This fellowship supports research related to medicinal plants. Eligible candidates include students in any field of specialty who are currently enrolled in PhD programs at recognized universities and recent graduates who have received their degrees in the last five years.
Ruggles-Gates Fund for Biological Anthropology
Provides grants for research in biological anthropology. Preference will be given to those applications which lie within human population biology, human genetics, human ethology and paleoanthropology.
Carl A. Scott Book Scholarships
The awards will be made to students from ethnic groups of color (African American, American Indian, Asian American, Mexican American, and Puerto Rican) who are in their last year of study for a social work degree in a baccalaureate or master’s degree program accredited by CSWE. Josephine de Karman Fellowships
These fellowships are awarded to recognize and assist students from any academic discipline whose academic achievements are of the highest standard. PhD applicants may apply for support for their final year of doctoral studies.
Mass Media Science and Engineering Fellows Program
This program provides a 10 week summer experience working in a media outlet, in order to increase communication between scientists and journalists. The award includes travel expenses as well as a weekly stipend for the fellowship tenure.
The Gaius Charles Bolin Dissertation and Post-MFA Fellowship
This fellowship provides two years of in-residence support for PhD and MFA students. Fellows devote the first year to dissertation completion or portofio building and the second year is spent on career development.
Blakemore Freeman Fellowships for Advanced Asian Language Study
Fellowships are awarded for one academic year of full-time advanced level language study in East or Southeast Asia in approved language programs. Applicants must be pursuing careers using of one of the eight approved modern East/Southeast Asian languages and be at or near advanced language level.
