Scholarships for post-graduates and researchers in Finnish language

CIMO awards scholarships to non-Finnish post-graduate students and researchers who carry out their research outside Finland. Applicants should have at least a Master’s degree. Scholarships are available for post-graduate studies or research in a Finnish university or for short study visits.

The Postdoctoral Program brings together postdoctoral fellows and Genentech scientists for their mutual benefit. The primary aim is for Genentech scientists to train postdocs to conduct research of the highest possible quality in scientific areas of interest to the postdoc and the company.

Grant for Research

This grant is for the research of the horticultural, scientific, and/or social use of herbs throughout history. Research must define herb as historically useful for flavoring, medicine, ornament, economic, industrial, or cosmetic purposes.

Katherin F. Gruber Scholarship

This scholarship aims to support spouses, dependent children, and grandchildren of blinded veterans of the US Armed Forces to assist them with their higher education tuition. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit, and can be renewed up to four times.

Nellie Yeoh Whetten Award

To recognize and encourage excellence by women in graduate studies in the sciences and technologies of interest to AVS. Chrysalis Scholarship Fund

The Chrysalis Scholarship provides degree-completion funding for three women geoscience graduate students whose education has been interrupted for at least one year. The awards are intended to cover thesis/dissertation costs such as typing or drafting expenses, child-care, or anything necessary to assist a degree candidate during those critical, final days.
