Tau Beta Pi Fellowships

$10,000 Fellowships awarded to students studying various aspects of engineering. The number and type of award varies each year. Awards are dispersed over a 10-month period and are designed to support students throughout the academic year. Applicants must be Tau Beta Pi members at the time of the award. Research Grants

Earthwatch’s goal is to support field-based research projects that produce rigorous, relevant, and impactful science, address global change, and actively involve citizen-scientist participants. Funding is provided for three years, subject to passing an annual performance review.

Margaret Yardley Fellowship

This fellowship awards $1,000 fellowships to women enrolled full time in master’s or doctoral programs in New Jersey to cover tuition expenses.

Margot Seitelman Memorial Scholarship

This program provides financial assistance for postsecondary education students who are planning a career in professional writing or teaching English grammar and writing. **Check funder for guidelines and eligibility.** **Now included in general scholarships.**

The International Travel Grant

In order to allow student members to travel abroad to experience science in other cultures, we will offer several grants of $2,500 for travel related to biomechanics research. A report on the accomplishments during the trip will be expected by the committee. Student members of ISB are eligible

Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship

The postdoctoral fellowships provide one year of support for individuals engaged in postdoctoral study after the attainment of the Ph.D. or Sc.D. degree. Through these fellowships, the Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties.

SETAC / EA Engineering Jeff Black Award

The SETAC / EA Engineering Jeff Black Award provide this $2,000 award for a Master’s-level student in any field of study encompassed by SETAC.

Robert J. and Ruth A. Weimer Student Research Grant

This grant funds research in sedimentary geology. It provides a $500 stipend for research expenses.
