These scholarships support American students of Polish descent for graduate studies at colleges and universities in the United States. Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $7,000 are awarded on a competitive basis for one academic year. Funding is for full-time studies.

Lemelson Center Fellowship
The Lemelson Center Fellowship Program supports projects that present creative approaches to the study of invention and innovation in American society. Fellows are expected to reside in the D.C. area, to participate in the Center’s activities, and to make a presentation their work. $575-$870/week.
PEO International Peace Scholarship
The International Peace Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for women from other countries for graduate study in the United States and Canada. Recipients must agree to return to their home countries after completion of their studies and must have at least one year of coursework remaining.
Dr. Alice E. Wilson Award
Awarded to mature students returning to graduate studies in any field, with special consideration given to candidates returning to study after at least three years. Two awards are given at the Masters level and three are given for doctoral level study. Must be Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.

Scholarship awards range from $2,000-$12,000 and are awarded to undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, medical, dental, and legal students.
Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellows Dissertation Grants
Applicants must be former Mellon Minority Undergraduate Fellows (MMUF) and candidates for the Ph.D. degree in fields recognized under the terms of the Mellon Minority Undergraduate Fellowship Program. This grant is for the research of the horticultural, scientific, and/or social use of herbs throughout history. Research must define herb as historically useful for flavoring, medicine, ornament, economic, industrial, or cosmetic purposes.
Izaak Walton Killam Postdoctoral Fellowship
Izaak Walton Killam Postdoctoral Fellowships are awarded annually at Dalhousie University to recently graduated scholars of superior academic research ability in any discipline. Awards are tenable for two years and include travel costs, a research grant, and a conference travel allowance.
