Rome Prize Competition

For over a century, the AMERICAN ACADEMY IN ROME has awarded the Rome Prize to support innovative and cross-disciplinary work in the arts and humanities. Rome Prize Fellowships include a stipend, room and board, and individual work space at AAR’s eleven-acre campus in Rome.

Byron Hanke Fellowship

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited master’s, doctoral, or law program in the US or Canada. Students of all disciplines are welcome to apply, provided their studies relate to community associations where homeowners support an association and are subject to use and aesthetic restrictions.

Camargo Core Program

This residential fellowship program is open to scholars, thinkers, and artists. The program welcomes both open-ended exploration or more focused works and long-term projects. Scholars and thinkers should be connected to the Arts and Humanities working on French and Francophone cultures.

Dr. Margaret McWilliams Pre-Doctoral Fellowship

This is awarded to a woman who has completed at least one calendar year in a full-time doctoral program and is enrolled in full-time studies in Canada or abroad at the time of application. Must be Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.

Dr. Alice E. Wilson Award

Awarded to mature students returning to graduate studies in any field, with special consideration given to candidates returning to study after at least three years. Two awards are given at the Masters level and three are given for doctoral level study. Must be Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.

EWNJ Graduate Merit Award

This scholarship offers up to $5,000 for permanent NJ resident women who are non-traditional students attending graduate school in NJ. Applicants must have completed at least 12 credits, be currently carrying at least 6 credits, or be considered full time if in the dissertation phase.

Short-term Fellowships

Short-term fellowships of $2,000/month are awarded for 1-4 months to doctoral candidates and postdoctoral scholars working on Jefferson-related projects. Fellows are expected to be in residence at the Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies.

Iranian-American Scholarship

The Iranian-American Scholarship fund provides university scholarships for Iranian-American Students, supported by the Iranian community. The Iranian-American Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for Undergraduates, Graduates, and International students.
