LITA Scholarships: LITA/LSSI Minority Scholarship in Library and Information Technology

The scholarship is designed to encourage the entry of qualified persons into the library and automation field who are qualified members of a principal minority group (American Indian or Alaskan native, Asian or Pacific Islander, African-American, or Hispanic).

Travel Grants

The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds awards travel allowances to PhD students and post-doctoral scientists. PhD students must be no older than 30 years of age. ARS Posdoctoral Research Associate positions

ARS Postdoctoral Research Associate (RA) positions provide up to two years of support/employment in specific positions, primarily in life and physical sciences. Available opportunities change continuously.

Doctoral Fellowship

Open to citizens or permanent residents of Canada, this program aims to support high-achieving students pursuing doctoral studies in the humanities and social sciences either in Canada or abroad. The award is $20,000/year and may be renewable for 4 years.

Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Program (CDIP)

This program provides loans to doctoral students who are interested in applying and competing for CSU faculty positions after completion of their degree. New or continuing full-time students in doctoral programs in the US during the upcoming academic year are invited to apply.

E.J. Josey Scholarship Award

This scholarship offers $2,000 to African American students enrolled in or accepted by ALA accredited graduate program leading to a degree in library and information science at the time of application. Applicants must be US or Canadian citizens.

ASCLA Scholarships: Century Scholarship (for persons with disabilities)

The Century Scholarship aims to bring diversity into the library profession so that the library profession reflects the diversity of the communities library professionals serve.

Spectrum Scholarship

This award provides a $5000 scholarship for students who are racial or ethnic minorities and enrolled at the beginning of a graduate program in Library and Information Sciences.
