This award is for students of working families who want to begin or continue their post-secondary education. Current and retired members of participating unions (with a minimum if one-year continuos membership), their spouses and their dependent children are eligible to apply.

Saltire Scholarships
This award supports students who have an offer from a Scottish university. The course of study must be an undergraduate, Masters or PhD level course in one of the following broad subject areas: Science, technology, creative industries, financial services, renewable and clean energy.
IHR Doctoral Fellowships
The Fellowships are intended as writing-up awards. They will be awarded to doctoral students who are engaged in the completion of a doctorate in history (broadly defined).
Ralph W. Stone Graduate Fellowship
Each year, the NSS awards two Ralph W. Stone Graduate Fellowships for cave-related thesis research. The annual award is currently $2000 each.
Graduate Research Fellowships
Research Fellowships will support doctoral students who wish to use the Cuban Heritage Collection as a primary resource for a dissertation. Doctoral students applying for these fellowships will have completed their course work and passed their qualifying examinations.
Rosenberry Graduate Fellowship
Provides a $15,000 stipend to support the doctoral research of a graduate student attending a university in North America and whose research contributes to forest and conservation history. Research focus on the historic relationships between humans, forests, and related resources is required.
New Jersey Innovation Research Fellowship Program
The Innovation and Research Fellowship Program (IRFP) grant funds are provided to support technological research and the innovation ecosystem in New Jersey and to encourage Ph.D. candidates/graduates to continue their research in fellowship with New Jersey’s science and technology companies.
