ALA General Scholarships: Marshall Cavendish Scholarship

The Marshall Cavendish Scholarship supports academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to a career in librarianship.

Kenneth E. Grant Research Scholarship

The Kenneth E. Grant Scholarship provides financial aid to members of the Soil and Water Conservation Society for research on a specific urban conservation topic that will foster the science and the art of soil, water, and related natural resource management to achieve sustainability.

Thomson ISI Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Scholarship

This award fosters research in information science by encouraging and assisting doctoral students in the field with their dissertation research and provide travel to the annual conference. Because of the limits proposed by timing considerations, awards may be made for research underway.

Marjorie Roy Rothermel Scholarship

Scholarship was established to assist a student working toward a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. Selection for the scholarship is based on academic performance, character, need, and ASME participation.

Elisabeth M. and Winchell M. Parsons Scholarship

The Elisabeth M. and Winchell M. Parsons Scholarship was established for a student working toward a doctoral degree in mechanical engineering. Selection for the scholarship is based on academic performance, character, need, and ASME participation.

Chapters Scholarships

Individual chapters of the ASSE provide scholarships ranging from $1000 to $5000 to support students studying safety engineering. Visit the ASSE Foundation link on the website for detailed information about the scholarships.

James R. Vogt Scholarship

An early graduate scholarship is available to undertake research in radio-analytical chemistry or its applications. All applicants must be sponsored by an ANS organization.

Graduate Awards

Through its annual Graduate Awards Program, the AIAA Foundation presents awards to graduate students doing excellent research in the air and space sciences.

Tuition Scholarship Program

These scholarships support American students of Polish descent for graduate studies at colleges and universities in the United States. Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $7,000 are awarded on a competitive basis for one academic year. Funding is for full-time studies.

Matsuo Bridge International Scholarship

The purpose of the award is to provide financial support to a student seeking a career in civil engineering, welding engineering, or welding engineering technology.
