LMSA National Scholarship for U.S. Medical Students

This scholarship supports medical students who are dedicated to serving the Latino and undeserved communities by defraying the cost of medical tuition. Financial need, personal qualities, and academic and extracurricular achievements are considered.

Oliver Goldsmith M.D. Scholarships

This scholarship provides $5,000, a clerkship and mentoring to third or fourth year medical students who are interested in culturally/linguistically responsive care and who intend to practice medicine in Southern California.

eQuality Scholarship Collaborative Scholarships

This award honors and encourages California students for their service to the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community. Scholarships may be used for post-secondary education, and some are for nursing or medical school. Applicants must be California residents and/or attend school in California.

Pisacano Scholars Leadership Program

This award provides $7,000/year of support to medical students with a strong interest in family practice, as well as leadership seminars and mentoring.

CANFIT Scholarships

Undergraduate and graduate scholarships are available for California African-American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian American, Pacific Islander or Latino/Hispanic students expressing financial need to study nutrition, physical education or culinary arts in the state of California.

Government and Nonprofit Section Doctoral Dissertation Grants

This award aims to help defray costs (up to $1,500) for individuals conducting dissertation research on governmental and nonprofit topics. An applicant must be a doctoral candidate with a major or emphasis in accounting from any doctoral granting institution in the US or abroad.

AcademyHealth Diversity Scholars Network

The AcademyHealth Diversity Scholars Network provides travel and registration support for five scholars to attend the Annual Research Meeting (ARM), pre-ARM Methods Workshops, and an Interest Group meeting of the scholar’s choice.

Student Scholarships in Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke

These awards support students conducting research projects related to cardiovascular disease, stroke and basic sciences early during pre-doctoral or master’s training, usually during the summer. AHA scholarships provide valuable stipends for students during the research project. 

Brazilian Initiation Scholarship

This scholarship provides students with a on-time $1,500 travel scholarship to do exploratory research or language study in Brazil. The scholarship targets aspiring Brazilianists with relatively little or no experience in Brazil.

Everitt P. Blizard Scholarship

This scholarship is for Graduate students in nuclear science and engineering pursuing a career in radiation protection and shielding. Applicants must be sponsored by an ANS organization.
