Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Scholarship-utah

Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships are federally funded awards offered through the University of Utah’s Center for Latin American Studies. They provide funding for undergraduate and graduate students who study modern foreign languages and related area studies.

Roothbert Scholarships

This scholarship offers support to help men and women in need of financial aid to further their education. The Fund seeks candidates who are “motivated by spiritual values,” and works to foster fellowship among them. Awards range from $2,000 to 3,000. Awards can be renewed based on review.

Year Abroad Program at the Jagiellonian University

This scholarship supports year long Polish language studies at the Center of Polish Language and Culture at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. The scholarship includes tuition, a Ministry stipend of 1,600 zloty/month for living expenses, and $900/semester.

NWSA Graduate Scholarship Award

NWSA will award $1,000 to a student who, in the fall of the year of the award, will be engaged in the research or writing stages of a Master’s Thesis or Ph.D. on women. Dissertation in the interdisciplinary field of women’s studies. Applicants must be members of NWSA.

GCA Summer Scholarship in Field Botany

The GCA Summer Scholarship in Field Botany provides $2,000 for undergraduates and master’s students to gain additional knowledge and experience through summer field study in botany. The field program may be in North, Central, or South America, with preference given to programs located in the U.S.

EWNJ Graduate Merit Award

This scholarship offers up to $5,000 for permanent NJ resident women who are non-traditional students attending graduate school in NJ. Applicants must have completed at least 12 credits, be currently carrying at least 6 credits, or be considered full time if in the dissertation phase.

Iranian-American Scholarship

The Iranian-American Scholarship fund provides university scholarships for Iranian-American Students, supported by the Iranian community. The Iranian-American Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for Undergraduates, Graduates, and International students. Awards range from $1,000-$3,000, depending on merit, need, and the availability of funds. Requirements are: -Iranian Heritage -Grade Point Average of 3.5 or above -Financial Need Applicants must […]

Dr. Alice E. Wilson Award

Awarded to mature students returning to graduate studies in any field, with special consideration given to candidates returning to study after at least three years. Two awards are given at the Masters level and three are given for doctoral level study. Must be Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.

Classical Summer School

6-week program provides graduate students, mature undergraduates, and middle school, high school, and two-year college teachers with an understanding of the growth and development of the city of Rome by examining material remains and literary sources. Tuition scholarships are open to all applicants.

Student Support Scholarship

PLT Student Support Scholarships are awarded to assist students with tuition and books and are available to both part-time and full-time students dedicated to pursuing careers in education. The award amount is determined annually, and currently is $2,000.
