Victor and Joy Wouk Grant-in-Aid Program

The Victor and Joy Wouk Grant-in-Aid offers research assistance up to $2000 for work in the Papers of Victor Wouk in the Caltech Archives. Graduate student applicants must have completed one year of study prior to receiving a grant-in-aid.

Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant – Economics

The NSF DDRIG allows doctoral students to improve the quality of dissertation research by providing funds for items not normally available through the student’s university and supporting data-gathering projects and field research that would not otherwise be possible.

Ta Liang Memorial Award

Awarded to graduate student members of ASPRS to facilitate research-related travel by outstanding graduate students in remote sensing. Such travel includes field investigations, agency visits, participation in conferences, or any travel that enhances or facilitates a graduate research program.

Robert L. Dixon International Travel Award

For participation in the International Congress in Toxicology. This travel award is offered every three years and student must be SOT member.

Student Research Grants

Student research grants in behavioral sciences range from US$ 500 to $2000 each, depending on category of the grant and merit of proposal. Students may apply for several different named awards through a single application.

Student Research Grants

Small grant for graduate students doing field research in clay science and technology . Reimbursement for expenses incurred while doing field work, purchasing supplies, or presenting a paper at the CMS conference on the thesis research is allowed.

Gaige Fund Award

Applications are solicited for grants typically in the range of $400-1,000 to provide support to young herpetologists for museum or laboratory study, travel, fieldwork, or any other activity that will effectively enhance their professional careers by contributing to the science of herpetology.

Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant – Law & Social Science

The Law & Social Sciences Program considers proposals that address social scientific studies of law and law-like systems of rules. The Program is inherently interdisciplinary and multi-methodological.

Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant – Political Science

Through its competitive grants competitions, the Political Science Program of the U.S. National Science Foundation seeks to advance basic understanding and methods in Political Science and related fields to enhance fundamental knowledge and practice.
