20th Century Japan Research Awards
$1,500 grants are offered for research in the library’s Prange Collection and East Asia Collection on topics related to the period of the Allied Occupation of Japan and its aftermath, 1945-1960.
Friends of the Princeton University Library: Visiting Fellowships
The fellowships are meant to help defray expenses incurred in traveling to and residing in Princeton during the tenure of the fellowship. The length of the fellowship will depend on the applicant’s research proposal, but is ordinarily one month.
Winterthur Dissertation Fellowships
This fellowship is intended to support dissertation research and writing. Applicants may apply for one semester or for the academic year. Projects should have a clear connection with the materials available in the Winterthur collections.
Travel Grant
To fund travel to the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library in West Branch, Iowa. Current graduate students, post-doctoral scholars, and independent researchers are eligible to apply. An applicant should contact the archival staff to determine if Library holdings are pertinent to the applicant’s research. Huntington-Travel Grants and Exchange Fellowships for Study in Great Britain
Archival Travel Grant: In cooperation with the British Academy, the Huntington offers a limited number of exchange fellowships in any of the fields in which the Huntington collections are strong. Tenure of the fellowship is one month. Ph.D. or equivalent required.
Research Fellowships
The David Library of the American Revolution offers short-term Resident Research Fellowships for doctoral candidates and postdocs to conduct research in its microfilm and print collections on the era (1750-1800). Fellows receive a stipend, housing, and Library access for one month.
Dina Abramowicz Emerging Scholar Fellowship
The Dina Abramowicz Emerging Scholar Fellowship is intended for post-doctoral research on a topic in Eastern European Jewish Studies leading to a significant scholarly publication. The fellowship supports research at the YIVO Library and Archives for a period of two to three months.
