Individual Consultations

The GradFund Fellowship Advising and Peer Mentoring Team is available to work with you to help you learn how to use GradFund tools and resources, develop an individual funding plan, receive feedback on application materials and workshop your application essays.  Book your appointment through our online meeting platform.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we transition to a new meeting booking platform.  Our summer meeting schedule is now available on WCOnline.  During your first visit to the WCOnline platform, create an account, login and book an appointment..  If you need assistance with our new platform, please call the GradFund office at 848-932-6546 during our business hours.

Whether you are a new or returning user, if you have not yet used our new meeting platform WCOnline, please click on the first time user link to set up an account so you can log into the system.

You can meet with us in person or online over Skype.

Our offices are located on the College Ave Campus in New Brunswick.   Our physical address is 25 Bishop Place, New Brunswick NJ.

Our Skype user name is “gradfund”.  If you plan to meet with us over Skype, please send us a contact request.

 

Meeting Procedures

After you have booked your appointment, you will receive an automated email confirmation for your appointment and then prior to your appointment an email or text reminder.

Our appointments require that you submit meeting materials in advance of your meeting.  If we have not received your meeting materials 2 days before your scheduled appointment, your appointment will be cancelled. The meeting descriptions to the right detail the documents that are required and when they need to be submitted.  Scroll down for a chart that details the submission schedule and for a short video on how to upload documents to the WCOnline system.

Planning Meeting/What Can I Apply For?

In this meeting, a GradFund Peer Mentor or Fellowship Advisor will help you find fellowships and grants to apply for.

  • Learn how to use the GradFund Knowledgebase to search for awards
  • Build a list of fellowships and grants to support your graduate work
  • Planning Meeting/What Can I Apply For? consultations are held online or in our offices at 25 Bishop Place, College Avenue Campus.

Required meeting documents to be uploaded to WCOnline 2 days (by 9am ET) before your scheduled appointment:

  • A current cv or resume

Help with a Funder

Receive in-depth guidance for a specific fellowship or grant competition.

  • Learn strategies for writing a competitive application, discuss the application procedures, and develop your plan for writing and revising your application
  • Gain insight into the funder’s review process and how you can best describe your research and plans to a particular funder’s review community
  • Help with a Funder meetings are available on our online meeting platform or in our offices at 25 Bishop Place, College Avenue Campus.

Required meeting documents to be uploaded to WCOnline 2 days (by 9am ET) before your scheduled appointment:

Application Review

Meet with a GradFund Fellowship Advisor to workshop your grant or fellowship application essays.

  • Submit your draft fellowship or grant application materials in advance.
  • Required meeting documents to be uploaded to WCOnline 2 days (by 9am ET) before your scheduled appointment:
    • Your fellowship or grant application materials (essays, budget, cv, forms, etc.) that you would like to have reviewed during the meeting.
  • In-depth review and feedback of any graduate fellowship or grant competition
  • These meetings can take place online or in our offices at 25 Bishop Place, College Avenue Campus

Meeting Document Submission Process

Many of our meetings will require that you submit documents ahead of time.  To submit your documents, attach them to your meeting record in the WCOnline platform.  The schedule below details the documents required for each meeting type and when they are due.  If we do not receive your meeting documents in the WCOnline platform by 9am, two days before your scheduled meeting, your meeting will be cancelled.
